With less than three weeks left of the regular NFL season, the playoffs are right around the corner, beginning on January 15th and running until the Super Bowl on February 13th. Between now and then, we’re sure if you’re a football fan, you’ll be planning football watching parties, and football party food is just as important as the game itself.
Air fryers are one of the hottest cooking tools right now on the market and are great for making fun, fast and easy appetizers perfect for Sunday Funday. Here are a few game-day foods to make in your air fryer that everyone will enjoy whether you’re hosting or attending a party to watch your favorite NFL team battle it out for a trip to the Super Bowl.
Crispy Chicken Wings In Under 10 Minutes and No Mess
Wings are fantastic in the air fryer. Not only does the hot circulating air make them naturally crispy, but they’re usually done and ready to eat in under 10 minutes, thus saving you time when it comes to the cooking and the clean-up that’s involved when frying chicken. You won’t have to worry about flour getting loose or grease spilling out of the pan.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees for ultra-crispy wings, and lightly toss your chicken wings with your favorite seasonings and olive oil.
Make Enough Hot Dogs to Feed a Crowd Without a Grill
If you haven’t had hot dogs in the air fryer, you are totally missing out. You won’t have to wait anymore for the water to boil or for the grill to heat up. Air-fried hot dogs only take a few minutes, and on game day, everyone will love these juicy hot dogs.
All you have to do is use a nonstick spray on your air fryer basket, or you could use parchment paper, and then add two to four hot dogs in a single layer. Cook them at 390 degrees for four to five minutes, and if you like toasted buns, just add the hot dog buns during the last minute of cook time.
Restaurant-Quality Potato Skins Ready In Minutes
Potato skins go hand-in-hand with football season, and you’ll have more time to cheer on your team when you cook them in an air fryer. If you’re using your own potatoes and not frozen potato skins, just drizzle a little olive oil on the inside of the potatoes, and then coat the outside. Add them face down in the air fryer basket, and cook for five minutes for 400 degrees. After then add your toppings to the inside of the potatoes, and then cook for another two to three minutes for 350 degrees. They will be a hit on game day.
Serve Juicy Hamburgers Without Ordering In
Burgers and football players have gone together forever, and air fryer hamburgers are so juicy and delicious. Plus, they’re super quick and easy to make and can even be cooked from frozen and will still only take 10 minutes or less. Make sure to use a little olive oil spray on your air fryer basket, and then cook your burgers for eight to 10 minutes or until your desired doneness on 375 degrees. You’ll be surprised how tender and tasty they are, and they’ll be every bit as good as grilled burgers.
