Cooking Simulator – Pizza bakes up a storm, launching on Switch today

Big Cheese Studio has launched Cooking Simulator – Pizza on Nintendo Switch today, May 13, as a standalone expansion of Cooking Simulator that retails for $14.99 on the eShop. So basically, if you love pizza, but not enough to actually make it in real life — this game might be the perfect lazy half measure for you.

Cooking Simulator – Pizza provides many customizable recipes and myriad ingredients to create authentic and (hypothetically) delicious pizzas. There is a sandbox mode where you can just go wild making any pizza you want all day long, but there is also a career mode rooted in a “quest system and new mechanics for accepting flexible orders.” Quests will examine “different aspects of baking and serving pizza” and unlock new perks and ingredients as you go. To further enhance realism, Cooking Simulator – Pizza has three different working areas that create a “cozy Italian pizzeria” atmosphere, being the pantry, prep kitchen, and oven area.

That’s pretty much all there is to know about Cooking Simulator – Pizza on Nintendo Switch, although you could’ve surmised a lot of that information from the title alone. Speaking of which, “Big Cheese Studio” is also an excellent name for a developer that is making food games. These dudes clearly have their branding down pat.

In any case, Nintendo Switch has a wide variety of current and upcoming simulators, as a quick search of games with “simulator” in the name will show. There is also literally a game called Pizza Simulator in development.
