3 Meals to Make With One Bag to Go in February | One Bag to Go
Some days, cooking dinner can feel like jumping over a series of hurdles. You’ve got to assess your fridge situation, find recipes that satisfy finicky eaters (whether that’s the whole family or just you), plot out the week and then — the biggest hurdle of all — hope it all puzzles together so you don’t need to buy that many groceries or end up with ingredients that can’t be mixed-and-matched.
Allow us to help with One Bag to Go, a new series of live classes on the Food Network Kitchen app that launches this month. Each month, we’ll pick a bunch of ingredients that are easy enough to pick up in one grocery run, and demo a few recipes you can make with just those items. We hope you’ll join us on the app and cook along! As part of this series, Target is also offering shoppers a complimentary subscription to Food Network Kitchen, so you can jump into fun on the app (cooking classes, meal plans, tons of recipes and more!) right now. Find out how to activate your subscription here.
Here’s the scoop on what’s in our bag this month. Add these items to your grocery list (which you can also do in the Food Network Kitchen app!) and you’ll be all set to cook with us. You can also shop these groceries at Target stores, or get them delivered or arrange pick-up through Target.com.

This month, chef Justin Chapple is our One Bag to Go host. Cook along with these recipes he’s developed using the ingredients in the bag (we assume you’ve got olive oil, a vinegar or two, and salt and pepper in your pantry already).
Is there anything better than dropping a bunch of ingredients onto a sheet pan, tossing it in the oven and coming up with a colorful and satisfying dinner? The broiler takes a starring role in this recipe, roasting the shrimp quickly in the last 5 minutes of cooking (frozen shrimp make for such an easy dinner that way). Plus this recipe earns bonus points by including instructions for whipping up a fresh salsa while the fajita fixings are in the oven.
This chili is bulked up with all the good-for-you, stick-to-your-ribs ingredients — we’re talking quinoa, chickpeas and ground turkey (which is just as satisfying as ground beef when simmered with tomatoes, chili powder and cumin). Slice corn tortillas into strips and bake them for just a few minutes for a crunchy topper along with fresh cilantro and little cheese.
Pairing gluten-free chickpea spaghetti with canned chickpeas is an inspired way to amp up the hearty flavors on pasta night. Watch Justin make homemade parmesan crisps to add even more texture and umami in this dish, which is finished with some wilted spinach and a fried egg.
We hope you feel inspired and will cook along with us and Target on Food Network Kitchen this month! And stay tuned for next month’s One Bag to Go and more new recipe ideas.
