VILLUPURAM: Close to 50 farmers from northern districts participated in a two-working day exhibition on natural and organic paddy seeds, and standard food competition held in Villupuram on Saturday and Sunday. The fourth year of this exhibition observed ryots imparting their knowledge on natural farming, battling local weather alter to younger farmers.
The exhibition shown 460 varieties of common seeds of paddy, pulses and medicinal herbs. Also, about 39 varieties of organic seeds of veggies ended up up for sale, together with organic seeds of tomatoes, females finger and drumstick. Aside from seeds, organic fodder for cattle with improved ranges of protein and vitamins were being also bought.
