In the series, born last year out of his daily cooking demos on Facebook Live during the early days of the pandemic, the Iron Chef cooks up his favorite outdoor recipes using common pantry ingredients.

“Michael Symon is one of the best chefs on the planet with an innate ability to engage with viewers as if they’re in the kitchen cooking alongside him,” said Food Network president Courtney White in a press release. “It’s this gift that brought comfort to so many during a tough year and we are excited to serve up more episodes of ‘Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out’ as we all get ready to celebrate summer with family and friends.”

In each self-shot episode, Symon shares his family’s recipes and the stories behind them, while offering tips and tricks for cooking on a grill, too. Some of the dishes viewers can look forward to this season include homemade bagels and cream cheese, a ribeye steak and potatoes dinner followed by a miso chocolate cake for dessert, plus a step-by-step guide to making a pastrami-rubbed brisket with rye spaetzle.

Symon is the chef and owner of Mabel’s BBQ and B Spot Burgers. He has appeared in multiple television shows including “Iron Chef America,” “Burgers, Brew & ‘Que” and “Worst Cooks in America” on Food Network and “The Chew” on ABC.

The 10-episode season of “Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out” premieres Sunday, May 29 at noon on Food Network.
