Colleyville’s From Across the Pond is getting the Food Network’s ‘Restaurant: Impossible’ treatment

The Food Network is coming to Colleyville.

Production for an upcoming episode of Restaurant: Impossible, hosted by Robert Irvine, is set to begin Thursday at the British pub From Across the Pond.

“They will get the full Restaurant: Impossible experience with their grand reopening happening on Saturday,” said Jill Littman, an executive producer for the show.

The show “helps struggling restaurants get back on their feet,” according to the Food Network.

Earlier this year, the Herdmans shared that operating the business during the pandemic had taken its toll.

“If you’re of the mind for prayer, or just of positive thoughts, please offer up some good thoughts and kindness for us. After the last year, relocation taking long and being expensive, being understaffed and then the storm week, we are on the edge of the abyss,” Lee Herdman wrote on Facebook in March. “Jodie and I cannot work any harder.”

During the past year, the restaurant worked to get the word out about its popular fish and chips and a large menu of well-regarded gluten-free dishes, delivering food to North Texas neighborhoods in its “city drops.”

Now, Irvine will bring his trademark tough love and intense focus to the business. The filming will culminate in Saturday’s grand reopening, where the menu may bear new or revamped items, and a refreshed space will await diners.

“It’s been a wonderful, tiring, exciting, terrifying process but we are so excited with the journey this is taking us on,” the Herdmans posted on Facebook when they announced the good news earlier this week.

Littman said the episode’s air date is “tentative at this point,” but is slated to air Aug. 26 on the Food Network.

From Across the Pond is located at 1101 Cheek-Sparger Road.
