Cherokee Triangle Art Fair returns from two-year hiatus

Artists, vendors and art enthusiasts flocked to Willow Park on Saturday for the annual Cherokee Triangle Art Fair. The fair is celebrating its 50thanniversary after a two-year break due to the pandemic.Fair goers enjoyed music, food and kids’ activities while taking in artwork from different vendors.”I love the art show,” said artist and educator, Jason Sturgill. “I already sold several things today. I look forward to seeing lots of people. So, I couldn’t ask for anything better to start out the weekend.””Come out to support local vendors, to support local people around here,” said attendee Brad Abner. “Get outside and enjoy the weather. We haven’t had a whole lot of good weather this year. Just enjoy being out mask free out here in public.”After the booths closed up yesterday, the traditional street party got underway and went until 8 p.m.If you missed the event on Saturday, the art fair continues today on Sunday starting at 10 a.m., and it goes until 6 p.m.
