According to a newly released report from Jacksonville Beach Police, Arlinson Chilito, 22, stole the dog valued at $4,000 after it escaped out of a Grubhub customer’s front door into the interior hallway of a condominium in the 1000 block of 11th Avenue South. YMCA to offer virtual cooking classes | Feature Story

The Harrison Family YMCA and the Edgecombe County Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program are joining forces to offer a series of seven virtual cooking classes online using Zoom.

The class begins on Tuesday and lasts until March 30, with classes held each Tuesday during that time frame from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. They are titling this program, “Power Lunch for Parents.”

Participants must sign up in advance for this free program and attend at least six of the seven classes in the series. The program curriculum comes for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program and aims to help limited resource families with children learn how to eat healthier, improve cooking skills, and save money on groceries.

In addition to the opportunity for participation in such a community beneficial program, Ripe Revival Market is giving away free Community Supported Donation produce boxes to the first 26 families to register.
